An employee at a Waynesville McDonald’s is being praised by people across the country after he stepped in to pay for a family’s meal.

Brittany Reed said after leaving her son’s football practice earlier this week, she took her three young children to McDonald’s.

With all three children crying, Reed went through the drive-through and placed her order, only to realize she left her purse at home.

“Welp, now I wanted to cry,” Reed said in a post in the Let’s Talk Waynesville, Ohio Facebook group. “I look at the young man with tears in my eyes just from being stressed and annoyed and say ‘hun, I am so sorry but I have to cancel that order, I left my purse at home when we went to football tonight’.”

Wyatt Jones was working the drive-thru and took Reed’s order.

Reed said without hesitation, Jones took out his wallet and swiped his card before she could stop him.

“I just want his parents to know how kind and compassionate your son was tonight,” Reed said in her post. “He made this stressed out momma pause for a moment and realize this is exactly what we parents are trying to do, raise great humans. Well Wyatt sir, you are an amazing human!”

Reed returned to McDonald’s to repay Jones and said he didn’t want to take more than he had paid, but she wanted him to know that “when you put good out in the world it comes back to you tenfold.”

In Reed’s post in the Facebook group, Jones has received praise from people from across the nation including in Washington, California and Tennessee.
